Lisa Busch

Sitka

Lisa Busch was the executive director of the Sitka Sound Science Center for 14 years, leading the nonprofit to become one of the preeminent research institutes in Alaska. Prior to that Lisa was a science journalist reporting on Alaska issues for print and public broadcasting. She was executive producer of “Encounters: Radio Experiences in the North,” hosted by Richard Nelson for 10 years. A Sitka resident for 37 years, she has been the founding member of several nonprofits. Today she is owner of Fairweather Cove Consulting. With two grown children, Lisa rows, hikes and reads in her free time.
